Preparations begin for the temple festival

Work has started for this year's temple festival.

The committee has begun the cleaning of the temple grounds and the streets around it, and volunteers are needed for several of the tasks over the coming weeks.

Where help is needed

• Cleaning and whitewashing around the temple
• Putting up decorations and lighting along the procession route
• Managing the kitchen on the main days
• Helping elderly visitors and keeping the route clear
• Photographing the festival for the village record

Contributions

Contributions are being collected in the usual way. Please give to a committee member directly and take a receipt. The committee will publish the accounts after the festival, as it does every year.

If your family is travelling home for the festival, tell us — we would like to publish photographs afterwards, and we would particularly like older photographs of past festivals if anyone has them.
