Free medical camp held at the village school
A visiting medical team checked blood pressure, sugar levels and eyesight for villagers over the course of a day.
A free medical camp was held at the village school, organised with a hospital from the nearby town.
The team carried out basic checks — blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and eyesight — and spent time with anyone who had a specific complaint. A number of people were advised to follow up at the hospital, and a few were told, plainly, that they had been ignoring something they should not have been ignoring.
If you missed the camp
The organisers have said they are willing to return. Whether that happens depends on how many people ask for it, so if you would attend a second camp, please let the panchayat or the My Vellur team know.
