Gram sabha meeting

The gram sabha is the meeting where village decisions are taken in the open, and where residents can raise matters directly.

On the agenda

• Review of works completed this year
• Proposals for the coming year, including the tank restoration
• Drinking water supply and the revised schedule
• Street lighting
• Complaints and requests from residents

Attending

Every adult resident of the village is entitled to attend and to speak. If you want a matter recorded, it is better to submit it in writing at the panchayat office beforehand as well.

This is the meeting where the things people complain about all year can actually be changed. It is worth the morning.
