The days
- Day one — flag hoisting and opening ceremonies
- Days two to four — daily ceremonies, music in the evenings
- Day five — the main procession through the village streets
Coming from outside the village
Families travelling home are asked to let the committee know in advance where possible, so arrangements for food and seating can be planned.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the kitchen, for crowd management along the procession route, and for helping elderly visitors. Speak to any committee member, or register through I Am Ready to Help on this website.
Please note
- Keep the procession route clear of parked vehicles
- Drinking water will be available at three points along the route
- Photographs are welcome; please send them to My Vellur afterwards
